Make sure the barber is properly licensed to cut hair, and find out whether the barber shop is part of a local, national or international entity. Look around the shop and see what supplies and equipment the barber offers for sale. Typically, barbers sell shampoo, conditioner, gel and maybe even brushes, combs and clippers.
